How it works

The tool encodes your input using the QR specification and draws the result to a canvas. A higher error-correction level makes the code readable even when partially scratched or covered by a logo.

Common ways people use it

  • Putting a menu link on a restaurant table tent
  • Sharing Wi-Fi details with guests via a printed card
  • Linking to a product page on packaging
  • Adding a quick-scan URL to a business card or flyer

Frequently asked questions

Which error-correction level should I choose?+
Level L (low) gives the smallest code for screens. Level M is a sensible default for print. Level H (high) is the right choice if a logo will sit on top or the surface may get damaged.
Do QR codes expire?+
A static QR code like the one you get here never expires — the destination is baked into the pixels. Dynamic codes from third-party services expire when the account does.
What size should a printed QR code be?+
As a rule of thumb, the code should be roughly one-tenth of the expected scan distance. A code read from half a meter away should be about 5 cm wide.
